Haryana organising regional conference of CMs to discuss joint strategy for combating drug menace


Haryana government is organising a meet of Chief Ministers of five northern States in Chandigarh tomorrow to come up with a joint strategy for combating drug menace in the region.

An official spokesman in Chandigarh said that the Chief Ministers of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Administrator of Union Territory of Chandigarh would participate in the conference.

Earlier, in a letter written in response to the letter of Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh regarding curbing the problem of drug menace from society, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has called for a joint action by all states to eradicate the menace of drugs and lending strong support to any endevour to free the society free from the evils of drug abuse and drug addiction.
