Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated to the nation the Integrated Command and Control Centre set up at Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The centre will control and monitor online water and power supply, sanitation, traffic movement, integrated building management, city connectivity and Internet infrastructure, under one roof. The monitoring of Naya Raipur city will also be carried out from the facility.
Mr Modi inspected the centre and also interacted with local school children present there. Officals said, residents can register their complaints regarding service dysfunction through helpline numbers at the centre. Earlier, Mr Modi arrived in Raipur this morning on a day-long visit to the state. He was received by the state Chief Minister Raman Singh.
The prime minister will later proceed to Bhilai where he will dedicate to the nation the modernized and expanded Bhilai Steel Plant. Laying of foundation stone of IIT, Bhilai and launching of phase -2 of Bharat Net Project are also lined up during Mr Modi’s brief visit to the state. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the air services between Jagdalpur and Raipur under UDAAN scheme through video link at programme organized in Bhilai.
