Environment Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today said skilling can transform the lives of youth. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply attached to the idea and outcome of Skill India programme. He was launching the mobile App for Green Skill Development Programme in New Delhi.
The programme is being launched across the country. The aim is to create a pool of Master Trainer and Specialists who can further train youths across the country. 94 trainees successfully completed Basic Course: Biodiversity Conservationists and 154 trainees completed advance course of Para-taxonomists. Many of these trainees were school dropouts.
The long term goal of the Programme is to focus on skilling high school dropouts who are 18 years and above. The aim is also to enhance employability of skilled manpower and to bring in some courses under Corporate Social Responsibility.
